The perfect not-too-sweet cookie, Biscotti are typically enjoyed in Italy at the end of the meal with a glass of sweet wine or strong espresso. Ours are hand-made by a small family-run bakery in Florence from a family recipe that dates back nearly 100 years. Light, crunchy and hard to resist, enjoy Tuscan Almond and Chocolate Chip Biscotti on their own or ilayered in a trifle, crushed and used in pie crust or simply dipped in brandy.
Originally made in Tuscany, the most famous and traditional Biscotti are made with flour, farm-fresh eggs, sugar, almonds, bitter almonds and a few pine nuts. Crunchy, subtly sweet and excellent when served with panna cotta, gelato, or as part of an afternoon tea.
Made with same ingredients of traditional Biscotti with the addition of bittersweet chocolate chips. This new twist on tradition is perfection when served with coffee, port wine after a meal, or dipped in marscarpone cheese.
